Every year the Friends of Rookesbury donate funds to support our children at school in a variety of ways.

In the 2006/2007 school year we donated over £5000 to meet requests from the staff and school. This funded a range of items including but not limited to;

  • New kitchen (including cookers, cupboards, work surfaces and cooking equipment) for Garden Room
  • Rookesbury Football Shirts for fixtures
  • Goal Posts
  • Mandolins
  • Interactive software ( to accompany interactive white-boards)
  • Bean bags drama room
  • Cricket Wicket

We have also set aside a significant proportion of the money raised with your support to fund a special development project for the grounds near the pre-prep area. This is an ongoing project and further details will be posted here in due course.

This year we have so far made donations for:

  • £2000 Budget for Initial landscaping phase of pre-prep play area project
  • SEN Barrington Stoke books
  • Puppets for Drama & Music Dept
  • 2 sets of Springback Cricket stumps
  • CD/Tape Player for Nursery Dept
  • New books for the Pupil’s Lunchtime Maths Club
  • Model Playhouse for Pre-prep

  • Keyboard stands
  • Instrument wall mounts

Gala Dinner and Dance - Murder Mystery - 29th November
This year's headline event is a packed evening of entertainment. We start with a drinks reception to kick off a Murder Mystery set in the School, with the story carried through a sumptuous dinner. As the dinner concludes so does the mystery, then we move onto the fund raising Grand Auction. After the auction there is dancing to the small hours. All this is supported by a cash bar. This is a truly a great evening of fun - make sure you get it in your diary soon and book the babysitter!!!
